Meet the Team

Kids Club Kampala was founded by Olivia Barker White, Corrie Fraser and Samuel Wambayo in 2009. All three founders are still involved with Kids Club Kampala, working in a variety of roles. Read more about our founders’ story here.

Our staff team

Our staff team is located across two offices, Kampala and Birmingham. The Kampala team is overseen by Sam Wambayo and leads on project design and delivery, monitoring and administration. The UK team is led by Olivia Barker White and oversees strategy, impact reporting, fundraising and communications.

Our patron

Ugandan-British singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka is the patron of Kids Club Kampala. He is a Mercury Music Prize Winner (2020), three-time nominee and MOBO and BRIT Award nominee. Despite his huge success, he still finds time to serve as our patron and is passionate about our work.

Board of trustees

Our committed team of voluntary trustees are responsible for the governance of Kids Club Kampala. Their varied experience and expertise ensure that we spend funds effectively, work strategically and maximise the effectiveness of our projects.
